Hey, everyone.  How's it going?

So I was working on episode 10 of the YouTube channel when, 85% through the episode, I noticed the recording software crashed.  All of the recording, the writing, and the work I've done was gone.  It was hard getting back into the recording when you've lost so much, especially when you wanted everything to be pseudo-live so people can see step-by-step and my thought process behind certain decisions.  Very disheartening.  But I decided to continue and do an "extended" episode.  Not sure if it's 60-minutes, but it's close enough.  Regardless of the misfortune, this has been a learning experience.  I'm hoping I remember the lesson to prevent something like that from happening again.

Also, earlier I did some quick math.  It takes me ~2 episodes to get a rough draft of a chapter, and I just finished chapter 3.  Using that as an average, using my 27-chapter (minus any prologue/epilogue) format, it'll take me 54 episodes to get the first draft done.  Oof.  A lot more than I originally thought.  But I started this project.  I'll see it to the end.

Doing these videos is also slower in my writing process.  Instead of writing what I think, I've been explaining what I've been thinking and why I'm going certain routes.

All in all, this process has been an educational one.  And though I'm not a good artist by any means, I've been considering making a video on character designs.  Maybe use that as a catalyst for more shirt designs?  I don't know.  Still thinking about it.

More ridiculousness to come,

Hey everyone, how's it going?

The recordings are going decent.  Just finished episode 8 today and boy did time fly!  Before I knew it, my timer went off and I had to wrap things up.  Tomorrow will be further development of the two main characters.

I'm still working on the website.  Currently I'm working on authentication and back-end development for the blog.  I'm getting there.  Just be patient.

Speaking of design, there has been some issues with the apparel. All of book 2's apparel was taken down for some reason. In addition, the service I went through stopped producing polos. What I need to do is design more... well, designs, much less fix the book 2 issues.

But If you have an idea for a shirt design, let me know. I'll be glad to hear your thoughts on fun shirts.

That's about it for now.  More ridiculousness to come,

How's it going everyone?

Real quick, looks like the website service transferred to vista print or whatever.  Good thing I was planning on making my own anyway.

Episode 1 of the youtube channel done.  Took a lot longer than I thought, and the chroma key wasn't working properly.  Going to have to try and fix that some time soon.

I'll post more later.  HOpefully when I have the website developed from scratch so I can stop using this POS service.

More ridiculousness to come,

6/26/2021, YouTube? Book 3?

How's it going, everyone?

Almost finished with my writing "break." What I mean by "break" is I had other things that needed to get done prior to writing again.

A couple of updates for everyone.

One: I decided to redo the fantasy story. Yeah, I know. You're not too pleased with that decision. However, the next point may be of interest to you.

Two: I decided to make a YouTube channel. The channel will be focused on my writing in a shut-up-and-write format, and I decided my first project will be the fantasy story. That means you'll watch me from beginning to end on creating a book. That includes character development, story planning, plots, world-building, research, my mistakes, the evolution of the story, etc. But with that said, point three may make you grr.

Three: since this will be a channel on books I plan on publishing, these videos won't be released until after they're on the market. That means the first video won't be posted until the fantasy story is available for sale. That way, there are no real spoilers on long-awaited titles.

So what do you think? Is this a good idea? Are you interested in my book writing style?

Oh, one more thing... Remember that BoA Jace Bk2 is available as an audiobook. Book 3 is in the publisher's hands and in the review/editing process. I have already discussed the general timeline with Jim, and he agreed to do book 3 when it's ready for audio. No joke, I can't wait!

That's about it for now. More ridiculousness to come,

How's it going, everyone?

I know it's been a while, but there are a number of updates I'm certain you'll love.

One, Bloodlines of Atmos, Jace Book 2 is now available as an audiobook!  That's right, I re-hired the talent of Jim Schubin (Facebook/Twitter) to once again read you the second book in Jace's story.  He once again knocked this book out of the park with his performance and I couldn't be happier with his finished work.

Two, The long wait is soon over.  Bloodlines of Atmos, Jace Book 3's drafts are done.  I'm finishing up my final read and I'll be submitting it to the publisher by June 1st.

Three, I've been considering making a YouTube channel.  It's still a ways out, but it's been on my mind.

Four, now that a lot of my priority projects are done, I'll be able to continue working on re-writting the website.  This, too, has been a long time in the making.

Five, I decided to scrap and re-create my fantasy project.  Not because I ran out of content, but I thought I could better restructure the story.  You'll see what I mean soon.

Like I said, a lot of updates.  Since my prior commitments are coming to an end, hopefully I'll be able to be more active and keep you up-to-date with my projects.

That'll just about do it.  More ridiculousness to come,
